I came across the term "Focal Glow" while reading about the characteristics of light, that most defining ingredient of a great photo. Even before I knew what it meant, it seemed to convey a sense of what I try to achieve every time I take a picture. It is attributed to the interior designer, Richard Kelly.
"Focal glow is the end of the rainbow, it commands attention, creates interest, fixes the gaze and tells people what to look at"
It is what I try to achieve every time I send the focal-plane shutter on my camera on yet another round trip.
